To celebrate its 40th anniversary of grantmaking, programming, and partnerships that connect Californians to each other, California Humanities invited a group of prominent individuals to explore what the humanities mean to them.
For Janet Napolitano, it was Willa Cather. For John Cho, it was Laura Ingalls Wilder. For Craig Watson, it was Diego Rivera. In this exhibit, several prominent Californians, including U.S. Poet Laureate Juan Felipe Herrera and actor George Takei, celebrate the place of the humanities in their own lives.
